Salary:
$60,000 annual / $28.85 hr
Essential Functions:
- Serves as an escalation point for Level I help desk support.
- Performs and maintains computer systems security including enterprise level anti-virus software and encryption services.
- Verifies / maintains backup services, disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Maintains VMware hosts, virtual and physical server, firewalls, switches, network communication equipment, wireless networks and VPN’s
- Troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software malfunctions
- Installs and replaces hardware & software as needed
- Works as liaison between other company system’s vendors and assists when needed
- Interfaces with HealthStar employees to resolve problems regarding the computer systems
- Responsible for preparing new office network interconnectivity
- Ensures that all problems are logged, assigned for resolution, prioritized, tracked and resolved in a timely manner. Ensures Director of the department is informed of critical or outstanding issues.
- In person regular and punctual attendance.
- Attends meetings as required.
Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with Windows 10 & 11 desktop and Server 2008 operating systems, Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with VMware virtualization, SAN storage, network hardware and peripherals.
- Experience with enterprise level local and cloud storage, backups and disaster recovery
- Ability to configure network switches, firewalls, VLANs and wireless access points
- Experience with on premise Telecomm systems and hosted VOIP solutions
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office 365
- Must have ability to communicate effectively in user-friendly terms verbally and in writing.
- Must be skilled in customer service and have a pleasant and courteous demeanor while dealing with all employees and staff.
- Must have ability to solve problems, and be able to work independently without much supervision.
- Must have skills in critical thinking, communication, and effective interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to work cooperatively as a member of office staff and team.

- Required to travel to all outside offices
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requires some late evening hours or weekends when necessary.
- AS Degree in Information Technology, A Certification preferred, Consideration given for industry certifications and job experience.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
- Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking, bending, kneeling, stretching, or standing the remainder.
- May need to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Qualifications
Education:
AS Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
License and Certifications:
A Certification preferred, Consideration given for industry certifications and job experience.
