Healthy Pets Animal Hospital is hiring! If you are a dedicated, compassionate, and energetic veterinary Hospital Manager, we want to hear from you!

We are a hardworking team of five veterinarians, Licensed Veterinary Technicians, assistants, and client care superstars, and our practice is located in the heart of Olympia off of 4th Avenue! We are looking for an experienced veterinary team leader to inspire and support our staff and drive our mission to enhance the well-being of pets and their people.

Together with our Hospital Medical Director, you will oversee the daily operations and performance of our busy and growing hospital. You will be a change agent for good, lend your support and expertise in all areas of the hospital, and inspire a positive culture and collaborative team environment. The Hospital Manager monitors and stimulates revenue growth, cost containment, and talent development, and leads best practices in client experience.


Job Description


As a successful Hospital Manager, you will:

  • Know your way around a veterinary hospital, and be familiar with equipment, inventory, purchasing, and hospital supplies
  • Be capable of recruiting, onboarding, and training veterinary staff
  • Be familiar with OSHA and DEA requirements
  • Review financial reports, budgets, and Profit & Loss statements. Familiarity with systems such as Avimark and ADP is a big plus!
  • Have experience in team building, conducting performance reviews, and addressing staff concerns, and know when to escalate issues to Human Resources
  • Have excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Exercise strong time management skills
  • Possess a good attitude and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Be able to plan, organize and prioritize tasks
  • Have good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Maintain a constructive and respectful relationship with co-workers and customers

Qualifications
  • Experience in a management/leadership role required
  • Veterinary Experience as a CVPM preferred
  • Have empathy and respect towards pets, clients, and colleagues
  • Be capable of recruiting, onboarding, and training veterinary staff
  • Be familiar with OSHA and DEA requirements
  • Be able to review, analyze and strategically plan from findings in financial reports, budgets, and Profit & Loss statements
  • Have experience in team building, conducting performance reviews, addressing staff concerns, and knowing when to escalate issues for additional support
  • Have excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess and demonstrate a positive attitude, serving as the example for the team
  • Have strong attention to detail and an eye for accuracy
  • Maintain a constructive and harmonious relationship with co-workers, clients, and vendors.
