Heartland has an immediate opening for a Branch Manager, located at the Pickerington branch in Pickerington, Ohio. In this highly visible role, you will oversee daily branch operations, including sales, customer service, customer transaction assistance, coaching, and compliance in a matter consistent with bank policy and procedure, endeavoring to manage branch growth and profitability.
A typical day might include the following:
- Foster and cultivate customer relationships through strategic internal and external sales initiatives and proactive prospecting, leveraging a deep understanding of industry trends and Heartland Bank's product offerings.
- Drive the attainment of sales goals by coaching all retail staff members on effective cross-selling techniques and fostering a culture of referrals.
- Execute a diverse array of transactions, including but not limited to processing customer transactions, managing vault responsibilities, granting necessary authorizations, overseeing account operations, performing meticulous maintenance of consumer products, and effectively addressing lending inquiries, all while meticulously adhering to established policies and protocols.
- Facilitate and lead regular staff meetings, skillfully communicating crucial information encompassing employee recognition, branch priorities and objectives, operational enhancements, and pertinent market insights.
- Uphold operational and compliance standards throughout the branch, assuming a leadership role in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
- Collaborate seamlessly and refer potential business prospects to various stakeholders across the institution for specialized services such as investments, mortgage lending, commercial lending, and cash management.
- Demonstrate expertise in handling challenging customer situations, offering viable resolutions, furnishing information, and presenting additional options as appropriate.
- Provide supervision and holistic development to the staff, adeptly conducting comprehensive performance reviews, delivering effective coaching, cross-training when needed, offering counsel as required, and actively participating in staff recruitment and retention efforts.
- Oversee and coordinate a range of administrative reporting responsibilities, including but not limited to managing overdraft exceptions, conducting monthly audits, handling relationship assurance forms, presenting sales performance reports, and overseeing loan applications.
- Execute proactive business prospecting and engage in strategic sales calls on a weekly basis to expand the bank's reach.
- Attend dynamic meetings and immersive training sessions to continuously enhance skill sets and proficiently disseminate pertinent information among fellow branch personnel.
- Ensure the strict adherence of the entire staff to established security procedures, maintaining a commitment to safeguarding customer information at all times.
- Remain accessible as a primary point of contact and on-call resource for matters involving the police, branch security, and ATM maintenance.
- Demonstrate a steadfast dedication to attendance and punctuality, embodying reliability and commitment.
- Actively engage in bank-sponsored community events and initiatives related to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), furthering the bank's positive impact in the community.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years retail banking experience.
- Minimum 2 years Consumer loan experience including entire process from accepting application through loan closing.
- Demonstrated progression in leadership roles.
- Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Internet Explorer, Fiserv products
