What are the responsibilities and job description for the Petroleum Service Technician position at HEARTLAND CO-OP?
Assists in installing, testing, adjusting, and repairing petroleum equipment, regulators, and heaters on customer's establishments by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Document services and products sold. Keep accurate safety, sales, and inventory records.
- Transports tools, parts, equipment, and tanks via truck to customer's place. Measures, cuts, threads, and connects pipe to feeder lines and installed tank.
- Trenches line to the proper depth where appropriate.
- Makes necessary repairs or installations and tests equipment to ensure performance.
- Dismantles and replaces defective pipes, thermocouples, thermostats, valves, and spindles.
- Ensures installation is safe, leak-free, and ready to use. Promote safety and safety programs to employees and customers.
- Performs other petroleum-related duties.
- Assists in other areas of the business as needed during peak periods.
- Must maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with applicable endorsements, DOT physical and commercial insurability must be maintained at all times.
- Must keep valid endorsements required by the industry in place at all times. CETP training as required by industry and Heartland Co-op standards.
- Other duties may be assigned.
