Job Summary:Leader for nursing staff in the respective region. The Nurse Manager is responsible and accountable for the delivery of nursing services for all nursing staff and clinical nursing operations. The Nurse Manager has administrative responsibility for risk management, utilization management, collaboration with providers and the Director of Operations, employee development, and recruitment. The Nurse Manager shall address and resolve all issues pertaining to practice operations in accordance with established budgets and policies and procedures. The Nurse Manager will live and display the HDC Mission, Vision and Values at all times.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Manages daily operations at assigned offices and coordinates the work activities and schedules.

- Oversee nurse scheduling and utilization for respective regional clinics.
- Oversee all time off in accordance with the staffing needs
- Ensures provisions of safe, high-quality patient care by the staff.
- Collaborates with lead nurses in evaluating performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions for nursing staff.
- Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
- Participates with leadership team in planning, budgeting, policy making, and decision making related to clinical operations involving nursing staff.
- Monitors outcomes, budget results, patient satisfaction surveys, and other indicators of nursing performance.
- Ensures all staff is trained in quality assurance/control requirements and meets these standards.
- Assists with performance feedback and corrective action plans. Assists in the hiring process.
- Reviews processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Develops goals for assigned clinic operations and ensures that these goals align with organization goals.
- Operates within the context of an established budget. Makes recommendations for annual budget and maximizes opportunities to meet and exceed budget guidelines.
- Efficiently manages resources, labor, services, supplies, materials, communication/data, and space.
- Demonstrates visibility and builds trust among team members; seeks opportunities to reward and recognize staff, fosters strong team cohesiveness within own area of responsibility.
- Providing direct feedback to others; responds to staff issues quickly and directly.
- Communicates with leadership team and team members.
- Empowering staff to share in decisions that affect their practice, recognizes the value of their contributions.
- Implements new clinical programs and services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and payer regulations and requirements related to nursing including patient safety, infection control, and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, risk management, utilization management, and outcomes management standards.
Skills:
- Skill in time management and prioritizing work.
- Skill in the talent and workforce management of staff from recruitment through evaluation and termination.
- Skill in utilizing computerized systems to gather data, analyze results, and make recommendations.

- Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a welcoming and friendly personality
- RN, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of healthcare experience with progressively increasing leadership/management/operations experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people both in person and over the phone.
- Strong attention to details.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license
