What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lot Associate position at Hearts and Hands of Care?
BASIC FUNCTION: Lot Associates assist with the loading/unloading of vehicles and monitor and maintain the entrance and parking lot area of the building. This position interacts with the community visiting the office/center. Because the Lot Associate is often the first and last associate to interact with customers as they enter or leave the building, customer service plays a vital role in this position. Direct interaction is frequently required for some positions and excellent customer service skills are required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keeping the parking lot clean and clear of debris.
Keeping yard area clean and clear of debris
Minor lawn maintenance and upkeep
Keeping the entry way clean and clear of any debris or fire hazards
Keeping emergency exits clean and clear of any debris or fire hazards.
Positive customer service skills and interactions with visitors
Shoveling entry way as needed
Keeping company vehicle clean and clear of debris or snow/ice pile up.
Keep handicap accessible areas clean and clear of debris.
Report any damage or maintenance needed to management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Ability to consistently be at work and on time.
Ability to operate minor lawn equipment (Lawn mower, Weed Wacker, shovel, ice melt)
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude in difficult situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age; and have a High School diploma or equivalent
Able to pass and provide a Background Check that meets State of Alaska requirements.
Able and knowledgeable to cope with emergency situations (i.e. accidents, CPR, seizures, etc.), in a calm and efficient manner
Must complete training.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position may require extended hours including evenings and weekends
Outdoors (All Seasons)
Service each property owned/operated by HAHOC
