Construction Bookkeeper
Residential Builder & General Contractor looking for a bookkeeper. We have been in business for over 50 years.
- Located: South Shore, Nassau County
Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Handle all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, credit cards and bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and AIA Invoicing
- Prepare accurate job profit and loss statement reports
- Process invoices, payment requests, checks, and payroll accurately and on time
- Process subcontractors Contract, Extra Work Orders, payments, and Release of Liens while keeping track of payments issued
- Receives Client checks, allocates the payments received and ensures that proper tracking and recording is performed and resolves any invoicing issues.
- Provide necessary documentation to accountant for tax filings
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a bookkeeper (in the construction industry is a plus)
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks and proficient with Microsoft software – Excel, Word
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Monday – Friday, Full-time position
- Compensation based on experience
