Job Posting for Shop Apprentice Technician at Heavy Equipment Rentals of Texas
The Shop Apprentice Technician (entry level) position is tasked with providing our customers with clean, rent ready equipment.
Responsibilities
- Steam clean and pressure wash exterior of heavy equipment.
- Clean cab interiors of heavy equipment.
- Clean interior and exterior glass of heavy equipment.
- Drive to collect parts from suppliers
- Organize and assist in maintaining parts inventory
- Assist with machine inbound and outbound inspections.
- Assist with overall cleanliness of facility.
- Assist with overall organization of equipment, attachments and parts.
- Maintain wash rack, work area and yard area in an organized manner.
- Touch up paint work work to machines.
- Assist mechanics/technicians with equipment repairs and services as needed.
- Work safely at all times, in accordance with Company and Customer policies/procedures.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Other tasks as business needs necessitate.
Qualifications
- Ability, or willing to learn to operate heavy equipment.
- Ability, or willing to learn to operate forklift.
- Ability to lift fifty pounds safely.
- Ability to conduct himself or herself with utmost professionalism.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a larger team.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Conduct work professionally and without confrontation.
- Written and oral communication must be professional and effective.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work, required overtime and on-call.
- Must be 21 years or older and have a clean driving record to operate a Company vehicle.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening and background check.
