The Role

The Head of Content Marketing will take overall responsibility for the content marketing team and create the content marketing strategy, ensuring the plan is executed and is successful at helping a company achieve its goals. They will lead a team of mixed experience professionals and upskill them with tips to make them more successful at targeting Heimdal’s ICP.

Your day-to-day

  • Creating a world class content marketing strategy designed to increase the visibility and performance of our work
  • Launching a wide variety of content formats; articles, emails, social media posts, podcasts, webinars, case studies, videos, and reports
  • Coach and manage team members to deliver against the content and PR strategy, supporting them with career development and progression
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media and external stakeholders
  • Optimising the digital content platforms to maximise publishing reach
  • Always seeking new and exciting opportunities to increase brand exposure
  • Identifying new strategies and tactics in order to be able to help our clients gain further visibility through content marketing at all parts of the sales funnel
  • Owning the social media and video strategy
  • Working closely with other teams to provide impactful copy for sales teams and promotional materials
  • Developing a deep understanding of our customers, our brand and company priorities such that you can set clear direction for the team and focus relentlessly on the highest impact activities at all times
  • Managing monthly budget to increase organic exposure
  • Maintain a high standard of monitoring organic performance and reporting – from MQLs, SQLs, SALs
  • Driving revenue through content marketing and reporting that back to senior management
  • Source and manage agencies and third parties where relevant
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team based on inbound activity observations in order to help improve the GTM performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned in order to support sales and marketing
  • Seek content marketing partnerships and create new ones

What you bring to the team

  • 5 years of experience in content writing, ideally for B2B SaaS organizations
  • Fluent in English; verbal and written. Other languages are a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in running and implementing content and social media programs with clear KPIs.
  • Familiarity and experience in developing multiple content formats including blogs, videos, guides, case studies etc.
  • Good understanding of SEO and Google Analytics 
  • Good computer skills such as Outlook, MS Office and Salesforce.com
