Description
Under the supervision of the Associate Executive Director of Operations, this position is responsible for the delivery of clinical services and clinical oversight of the Mental Health Center in Wilbarger, Hardeman/Foard, and Childress counties, as defined by the state authority, Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Services are to be provided according to the Texas Resilience and Recovery Model, and must conform to the Performance Contract, Community Service Standards, Helen Farabee Center policy and procedures, and Medicaid standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The incumbent assists individuals served in making informed choices, educating them on community resources, and assists with assessing services. Performs uniform assessments and updates recovery plans in accordance with consumer need and required standards. Provides on-going outpatient services to consumers as needed. Provides face-to face assessment and crisis intervention services to any person requesting help or presenting a crisis. This position is required to serve on-call after regular business hours, for which compensation is provided. Leadership and positive example of work habits is expected at all times. Provides weekly clinical supervision to staff as needed and evaluates their job performance at least annually. Position requires an aptitude for management, knowledge, and skills in assessment, and recovery planning. Knowledge of psychotherapeutic medications, community resources. Participates in program planning/development, policy development, and interagency coordination for all Medicaid programs and services. Participates in Random Moment time study as directed by Reimbursement Coordinator. Accountable to the Associate Executive Director of Operations for assuring that all services are coordinated and provided according to standards and within budget projections. Monitors billing and production reports. This position also acts as the Primary Emergency Coordinator for this location and is responsible for the coordination of all required events. HFC incorporates principles of trauma-informed care, which includes cultural sensitivity, in all areas of service delivery. Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university with major in social, behavioral or human services field. Two years paid experience in treating individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental illness is required.
Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable to drive Center vehicles. Must pass all Center mandate trainings and all trainings required for certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and proof correspondence, reports and computer printouts manually, etc.
- Good spelling and grammar skills.
- Ability to write progress notes according to standard, assessments, brief mental status exams, memos, letters, various complex reports and miscellaneous other documents with acceptable spelling and grammar.
- Ability to train and successfully lead a team.
- Ability to relate verbal instructions, communicate in a courteous and effective fashion with co-workers, consumers and families, agencies and the public.
- Display a customer service orientation; at all times treating customers as equals and partners.
- Skilled in the use of personal and network computers, word processing, database, spreadsheet and office management software (Microsoft Office), Electronic Health Records, and familiarity with CARE.
Salary : $45,000 - $51,000
