What are the responsibilities and job description for the Street Outreach Specialist position at Helen's Project?
1. This position will require you to work outdoors. You will set up a table near a homeless encampment and you will provide the clients with food, hygiene products and case management services. While outdoors. Then you will return to the office and input all data and complete reports no later than the first of the month.
2. The starting pay for this position in 15/ hour and it is non-negotiable. However we do offer pay increases based on funding and successful evaluation for promotion. Yes, there is room for growth to supervisory positions with time.
3. You will be required to make an order for food and hygiene products weekly and pick up the products weekly. Then organize them according to date.
4. There are only 2 shifts available Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and Wednesday - Sunday (W-F 8am to 5pm; Sat & Sun 9am to 6pm) This shifts will be discussed prior to your acceptance of the position based on the agency needs at the time of hire.
