What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Painter position at Helena Body & Paint?
Duties
- Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
- Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated.
- Mixes paint according to specifications.
- Selects and mixes liquid to produce desired color.
- Paints surface using sprayer appropriate.
- Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, flaws and unpainted areas.
- Ensure proper coverage and smooth finish
- Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools
- Keeps work area clean.
- Follow safety protocols and use protective gear when necessary
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 years experience (preferred but not required)
- Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color and design
- Proficient in using tools for surface preparation and painting processes
- I-Car Certification (preferred but not required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
