What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Team Leader - Inpatient position at Helio Health, Inc.?
Currently, Helio Health's Rochester Inpatient program is located on University Avenue. Due to our success in the region, we are moving to a freshly renovated location on Brighton Henrietta Townline Road! Now called Pathways of Helio Health, this location will better serve the community at a larger 53 bed Inpatient Rehabilitation and Medically Supervised Detox program.
The Nursing Team Leader will work a Full Time schedule, evening shift.
Responsibilities:
- Provides services to meet the different needs of clients through coordination with the medical team.
- Supervises medical and day to day operations of substance use disorders/mental health services.
- Enforces adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations.
- Maintains nursing staff by interviewing, training, supervising, orienting, and training nurses.
- Promotes patients’ independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching and counseling patients and their families individually and/or in groups and reinforcing their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills.
- Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols, enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Performs Quality Assurance activities.
- Provides services according to agency policies, procedures, program guidelines, and governmental regulations.
- Monitors provision of services when assigned.
- Assures program record documentation compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Must be a valid and active Registered Nurse, licensed with NYS.
- One to three years of clinical experience appropriate to program preferred.
- Minimum three years clinical experience in an appropriate program setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree in a related human service field preferred.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License.
