Accounts Payable Clerk

Hellas, the #1 Sports Construction company in North America, is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to assist a fast-paced construction company in Austin.

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our fast-growing team. This position will primarily handle accounts payable cycle processing and assist with or perform other accounting duties as required.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable; review, verify, and match payment documentation
• Code all invoices to the appropriate GL
• Assist with payment and invoice matching for check runs
• Utilize automated accounting systems to enter accounts payable claims and process payments
• Assist with set-up and maintenance of vendor credit
• Maintain accounts payable filing system and ensure compliance with vendor records and insurance requirements
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Respond to inquiries and assist in supporting and providing relief to other accounting functions
• Work with Project Managers to ensure accurate recording and payment of subcontractors, tracking lien waivers and insurance
• Become proficient in the company’s ComputerEase accounting software
• Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Accomplish accounting and organizational goals by completing related tasks as needed
• Manage a high volume of invoices (over 100 weekly) with strict deadlines
  
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• 2-5 years of experience in accounts payable and vendor relationships
• Construction experience is preferable
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly organized and thorough
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with new software
