Qualifications
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Residential supervisor and in accordance with state agency policies and procedures, the Direct Support Worker is responsible for the support, training, and services coordination of the persons served.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up work/programming areas in the most effective manner to maximize training potential.
- Inspect all work to ensure all standards are being met.
- Track daily the goals/product of each individual and distribute paychecks.
- Maintain programming/production output in compliance with guidelines established by supervisor.
- Assist with ADL’s, feeding, toileting as per individualized need.
- Implement activities and recreation per programming schedule.
- Transport by agency vehicle as assigned.
- Implement and document individual training objectives.
Qualifications and Education/Training/Experience:
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities required for Day Trainer position.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record if driving is required.
- Must apply for PACE certification if driving a PACE vehicle is required
- Must be able to work at any one of Helping Hand’s facilities as assigned
Schedule and Compensation
- Schedule Varies
- Salary range: $18.25 - $19.21 per hour
