What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit supervisor position at HemaSource?
HemaSource seeks an experienced Credit, Collections & Receivables Supervisor who will ensure that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients.
This role is based in our west Salt Lake City office onsite three days per week and from home twice weekly.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and leads the accounts receivable team ensuring all team functions are performed in line with company practices.
- Oversees and assists in preparing, posting, verifying, and recording customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Oversees and assists in creating invoices according to company practices, and submitting invoices to customers.
- Reviews and helps maintain customer records.
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.
- Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
- Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
- Reconciles accounts receivable periodically.
- Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
- Is responsible for completing accounts receivable-related month-end tasks.
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
- Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting required, Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of four (4) years of related experience is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and people management skills.
- Experience supervising team members preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copiers.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
