Millwright General Foreman & Superintendent

HEMI Systems is searching a qualified Millwright General Foreman and Superintendent with proven leadership experience with industrial construction equipment setting, installation and maintenance. Responsibilities include overseeing the loading / unload of equipment, installing / dismantling of machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints, rigging and installing equipment as well as other project specific requirements. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of material handling systems, hydraulics, belt systems, pumps, motors, fans, pulverizers and other industrial machine mechanisms essential for job procedures.

Responsibilities – Represent company professionally with subcontractors, customers, vendors, utilities, etc. Engaged with client and other project members on plans, safety and success of project which includes making sure schedules and deadlines are met on time and efficiently. Review all paperwork and responsibilities of the job to ensure accuracy. Communicate with project managers and HEMI management regarding progress and budget. Perform inspection and walk throughs of jobs, and make certain work is complete and clean-up is done. Assist work crews if needed. Move and maintain equipment. Responsible for safety on job site, including all company employees and other employers near job site Ensure all necessary safety equipment is in proper working condition and available on each job site. Conduct safety inspection. Investigate all accidents and report in a timely and accurate fashion. Conduct weekly safety meeting with all employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or Trade School required.
• Must have ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and communicate effectively and professionally.
• Ability to prioritize and change daily workload and work with minimum supervision in order to meet deadlines.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or project management experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required
• Ability to pass a background check required
• Applicant needs to have a basic knowledge of ASME code and AWS code to supervise welding and fabrication projects.

Required Skills

• Must have past leadership experience as leadman, foreman and/or superintendent.
• Must know how to read blueprints, schematic drawings, and engineering specifications and understand how to read and interpret technical manuals in order to determine work procedures.
• Must have experience using industrial hand tools and power tools.
• Must have all Journeyman Precision Millwright hand tools as per required.
• Minimum 10 years industrial construction/maintenance (Millwright / Ironworker, etc)
• Minimum 8 years welding experience. Appropriate certifications are beneficial.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days as needed.
• Will plan, inspect, verify, and document scope of work
• Uses precision leveling / lazer and optical alignment tools in order to set lines, measure angles, material thickness and small distances with calipers, squares, micrometers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

• Construction Superintendents: 5 years (Preferred)
• Millwright: 10 years (Preferred)
• Welding: 8 years (Preferred)
