Title: Operations Manager
Reports to: COO
Shift: Mon-Fri. 8:00am – 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $90,000 - $100,000
Hemp Supply Prime is a premium bulk wholesale distributor and white label manufacturer of hemp products for leading national brand clients. We are seeking an Operations Manager to add to our team.
HSP is a vertically integrated product solution company located in Mooresville, NC. Additionally we have recently launched a few of our own house brands. We are a young company poised for major growth. CBD & Hemp is projected to become a $30B industry in the next 3 years. We are excited to add to our growing team in this new and budding industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inventory Management: Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track and manage stock levels, ensuring that the warehouse has adequate supplies to meet production demands while minimizing waste and spoilage.
- Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that food products meet safety and quality standards. This includes monitoring temperature, humidity, and other environmental conditions.
- Staff Management: Lead, train, and supervise a team of warehouse staff, including supervisors, forklift operators, and other personnel. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
- Operational Efficiency: Streamline warehouse operations by optimizing workflow processes, reducing bottlenecks, and implementing efficient storage and retrieval systems. Regularly review operational procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity.
- Safety: Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes training staff on proper equipment usage and safety procedures.
- Logistics: Oversee the inbound and outbound logistics operations, including scheduling and coordinating deliveries, managing transportation, and optimizing storage space.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, refrigeration units are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the warehouse budget, including expenses related to equipment maintenance, staffing, and inventory. Monitor spending and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Process Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback from staff and stakeholders, and using this input to identify areas for growth and development within the warehouse.
- Technology Integration: Explore and implement technological solutions such as inventory management software, automated systems, and data analytics to improve overall operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Reporting: Generate reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics for management and regulatory purposes.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with other departments, suppliers, and customers to coordinate orders and address any issues or concerns.
- Record-keeping: Keep thorough records of all warehouse activities, including shipments, inventory levels, and quality control data.
- Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with suppliers and distributors to manage the flow of raw materials and finished goods. Ensure timely delivery of supplies and products, and maintain effective relationships with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in wholesale operations, demonstrating a track record of efficiency and productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Profound understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Extremely detail oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using ERP and relevant software applications – Odoo
- Self-starter who works independently with efficiency.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
