    Dance Theatre Assistant Director
    Hempfield High School
    Job Summary: Asst. Director of Dance Theatre helps create and choreograph an original production each year for a cast of roughly 120 students.

    Position Information & Responsibilities:

    • Part-time, no benefits
    • Starting Salary- Step 1 - $3397.80
    • Contributes to storyline & research for production
    • Helps cast production
    • Selects music, aids in set, costume, lighting and stage design
    • Choreograph numerous pieces
    • Educates students on different forms & styles of movement ranging from classical ballet to modern partnering.
    • Helps students to develop creativity & self -esteem through performing
    • Gives students feedback to help improve themselves as dancers, actors & performers
    Qualifications:
    • Dance experience, including teaching dance

    Required Documents:

    • Current PA Criminal History background check
    • Current Federal Criminal background check
    • Current Child Abuse background check
