Essential Functions:
- Assist in the timely processing of all outbound material issues, all incoming material receipts, and all types of inventory control transactions used in these processes.
- Resolve data accuracy problems associates with the shipping and receiving process quickly.
- Perform filing activities per department requirements.
- Process receipts, match paperwork, and send to accounting per the accounting guidelines.
- Build relationships with the customers and transportation companies to create a team environment.
- Process all inventory transactions in a manner consistent with accounting guidelines and the departmental standards of performance.
- Interface with internal personnel to ensure an acceptable solution is derived to properly address situations pertaining to data discrepancies and lost time.
- Ensure that necessary tools and equipment are ready and available to meet schedules. Prepare instructions for daily PM’s and periodic equipment maintenance (forklifts, reach trucks).
- Assist associates in achieving goals in safety, quality, and accountability while ensuring associates stay productive.
- Assist Materials Department in ensuring that materials are accounted for (WTS, DTSLOC, Warehouse).
- Understand and implement MOS objectives to increase productivity.
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience required
- 5 years’ experience in material handling or shipping and receiving preferred.
- Knowledge of MRP II concepts, practices, and procedures helpful.
- Good interpersonal skills and must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Minimal sitting, bending, squatting kneeling, climbing and reaching
- Occasional grasping and pinching and forward bending
- Constant standing, walking, fine manipulation and simple grasping
- Lifting 1-5 lbs.
- Carrying 1-5 lbs. up to 25 feet
- Push/Pull 1-10 force lbs. 1-5 feet
- Non temperature controlled manufacturing facility.
