YOUR ROLE
- Prioritize daily Shipping Personnel activities, schedule all window times for various carriers, create and print all Customer Required Master labels and solve any inventory discrepancies.
- Be able to fill in on Shipping Coordinator Role, capable of shipping all Hazmat shipments including Ocean and Air, as well as Cycle Counter job duties when needed and able to operate small package service systems, such as Federal Express and UPS.
- Be able to recognize personnel problems and or conflicts and notify Supervisor.
- Be able to come in odd hours including weekends when necessary.
- Take ownership of pallet yard and make sure it stays organized.
- Be part of the warehouse utilization team and execute actions for improvement.
- Lead Shipping MOS board meeting as well as any other important warehouse shipping meetings.
- Responsible for planning team coverage when needed.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Communicates effectively with applicable departments and the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills, must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
Thesalary for this role is $22.00 - $26.00/hour. This is the range that we in good faithanticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We mayultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. Thissalary range may also be modified in the future.
