What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Support position at Henry Broch Foods?

Edits orders received for price and nomenclature.

Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.

Enters order data into Brokers Plus computer system.

Records or files copy of orders received according to expected delivery date.

Ascertains credit rating of customer.

Checks inventory control and notifies stock control departments of orders that would deplete stock.

Initiates purchase requisitions.

Routes orders to departments for filling and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.

Recommends type of packing or labeling needed on order.

Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Outlook Contact Management systems; Brokers Plus Inventory software; Brokers Plus Order processing systems; MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Word Processing software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
