Patrols Memorial Park ensuring visibility to park patrons and checking buildings daily for security, locking and unlocking as assigned.
Ensures that each building is closed properly, there are no water leaks, lights are turned off, and fires are extinguished.
Enforces traffic regulations, including completing accident reports for injured park patrons.
Enforces park policies, such as prohibiting swimming in lake or warning people to stay off ice, locking gates and advising people to leave park.
Assists park patrons with locating lost parents, children and property, calls for medical help, transports people to make emergency telephone calls, and gives and receives information regarding park facilities, as needed.
Regularly inspects parks for damage and unsafe conditions and checks Department schedule of programs and informs public of park events, hours and general information.
Maintains, replaces and ensures proper placement of park signs and flags.
Maintains and checks fuel level of assigned vehicles.
Assists in the maintenance of park recreation areas, restrooms and other facilities, including cleaning, removing trash and stocking supplies as needed
Assists with office work, including renting out buildings and facilities, receiving money and recording in receipt book.
Monitors sledding activities on both hills, including providing wood for individuals sledding and reporting any accidents or injuries.
Assists in feeding the ducks and cats on the weekends during the winter.
Performs related duties as assigned
DAYS/HOURS are EVERY Friday, Saturday, Sunday 3pm-11pm.
