GENERAL SUMMARY:
Manages the chaplaincy services for the hospital. Recruit, hire and supervise the clinical work of associate chaplains. Maintain budget for chaplaincy services. Maintain compliance with administrative procedures and policies for the department in accordance with organizational policies. Attends system or local committees as designated. This position maintains mutually beneficial relationships with community and congregational leaders.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Masters of Educational Ministry, Divinity or its equivalent.
One-three (1-3) years of leadership experience and four units of Clinical Pastoral Education completed.
Ordination and in good standing with a recognized faith community.
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Board certified chaplain or associate certified chaplain through Association of Professional Chaplains, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or the Association of Jewish Chaplains preferred or within two (2) years of hire.
