Henson & Efron, a medium-sized law firm, located in Minneapolis has an immediate full-time opening for a Trust & Estate Associate with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Summary
Trusts and estates associate attorney with 3-5 years of relevant experience in estate planning, wealth planning strategies, guardianships, conservatorships, probate, and estate administration. The position will focus on working with individuals, families, and fiduciaries across a range of estate and tax planning, business succession planning, trusts, estate administration, and guardianship/conservatorship matters. May also require work on contested estate administration matters, business succession planning matters, and collaborating with others in the firm. This role requires a detail-oriented person who is a self-starter with polished client service skills and the ability to organize, set priorities, and to follow up on priorities while communicating with clients and colleagues informed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Planning, structuring, and drafting of estate plan documents for a range of clients, including those with a high-net worth.
· Drafting probate documents and advocating for clients at estate-related court hearings.
Minimum Requirements:
· Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
· Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and organization skills.
· Proven ability to effectively handle multiple projects with different timelines.
· Ability to develop and implement legal strategies.
· Ability to interface directly with attorneys and clients and to convey complex concepts clearly.
· Demonstrate an ability to work independently and productively.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Experience in drafting and implementing estate plans, wealth planning strategies, conservatorships, guardianships, and probate-related documents.
· Experience in counseling fiduciaries in estate and trust settlement and administration and representing clients in connection with probate matters.

Education and Experience
· Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
· Looking for a candidate with three to five years of relevant experience.
· We are willing to consider candidates with more than five years of experience.
· Licensed to practice in MN and bar membership in good standing.
Work Environment
· Ability to work as needed to meet position responsibilities and deadlines.
· Ability to coordinate with legal staff and attorneys as a team in collaborative workplace environment.
