ABOUT THE JOB

As the Head of Sales, you will be a vital part of HER’s revenue growth over the coming years helping us expand our sales team and our partnerships offerings as a business, both in existing and international markets. 

As the leader of the Sales team, you connect deeply with HER’s mission, and have a strong grasp of the media sales landscape, bringing many years of experience in media sales and management to grow HER to the next level. You’re ready to roll your sleeves up and be the ‘player, coach’ as we grow our team and scale our revenue. 

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

  • The Head of Sales will have the opportunity to lead all brand and partnership commercial opportunities across HER. 

  • This leader will attract, hire, and develop top sales talent. They will develop an empowered and successful sales team culture and will work to elevate skill sets and develop team strength and ultimately drive topline revenue growth.  

  • Build commercial forecasts and goals and develop a strategy and a team that can deliver against them

  • Work alongside Sales Reps and AEs to be actively contributing to sales targets 

  • Has detailed knowledge of Global Digital landscape (e.g. Display, Social Media, Branded Content, Programmatic & Experiential)

  • Experience working across multi-market campaigns and clients

  • Unrivalled knowledge of both client and agency businesses with valuable contacts to grow

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for setting and meeting the commercial revenue targets and pipeline for HER across advertising and partnership products

  • Responsible for translating the HER commercial sales goals into a sales strategy and operating plan, i.e. identifying key targets, assigning targets to team members where relevant, developing key messages to clients, ensuring unified messaging to clients

  • Lead on recruiting, career development and management of the sales team 

  • Work with Product, Engineering and Marketing teams to develop new and maintain existing revenue channels 

  • Maintain deep relationships with and provide exceptional client support to current and prospective media agencies and clients

  • Provides guidance to internal sales teams and advertisers on the optimal product mix / solution to achieve campaign objectives

  • Translates clients' campaign objectives for the account management team to ensure successful execution and delivery of campaigns

  • Familiarity with benchmarking, consumer insights, market research and Index methodologies

  • Oversee and share metrics on performance of all phases of the sales cycle: lead generation, sourcing opportunities and RFP’s, prospecting, ideation, pitching business and optimizing campaigns with the help of the sales team.

IDEAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8 Years as a digital seller

  • 4 years management building sales teams 

  • Exceptional track record of exceeding revenue targets

  • Creative and consultative seller who continuously finds new opportunities to sell through established relationships with brands and agencies

  • An entrepreneurial spirit, tenacious drive, and enthusiastic attitude

  • Superior organization, prioritization, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to be highly accountable for an operational sales system including software stack, sales best practices, good follow-up and follow through (cold calling, prospecting, market share reporting, call activity, sharing information with appropriate internal stakeholders, etc)

  • Familiarity with early stage startups through to growth stage development
