HERFF JONES, Outsourcing Lead – Warwick, RI
Job Summary:
The Outsourcing lead will be responsible for executing outsourcing logistics for all shipments and receipts of finished goods and outside labor orders. This includes working closely with the Supply Chain team and domestic and international suppliers daily. In this role you will monitor outgoing and incoming supplier shipments, provide updated priorities to the supply chain and report out daily metrics to the HJ management team.
Specific Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Ensure work areas are maintained and in a safe condition
Monitors supplier inventory levels and content prevent aging inventory.
Reviews daily priority reports and communicates priorities to suppliers to ensure on time delivery and expedited orders are processed
Partner with Shipping team to complete required shipping/customs documentation
Resolve invoice inaccuracies
Resolve paperwork issues
Effectively resolve personnel conflict
Maintain logs shipment logs and shipment documentation
Ensure accuracy of the outsourcing team’s output
Immediately communicates issues to the Supply Chain team
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions for outsourcing responsibilities.
Communicate regularly with suppliers to identify issues and ensure performance requirements are met.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years in a manufacturing, production or quality inspection environment
Ability to read and write in English.
Must be able to work overtime including Saturdays during busy seasons
Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
Proficient computer skills: Sending e-mails, working with word processing and spreadsheet software programs. (Microsoft Word and Excel skills are a plus)
Strong communication skills – must be comfortable communication verbally with suppliers as well as through email and virtual meetings
Ability to work well with people having different ethnic, social, or educational backgrounds; understand the cultural differences of different groups.
Physical Demands:
Ability to walk around the office and through the factory briskly.
Squatting, bending and lifting no more than 40 pounds.
Must be able to endure long periods of standing and sitting.
Any additional duties are to be performed as directed by the Supply Chain Manager
