Financial Opportunity Counselor

As the Financial Opportunity Counselor you will have the opportunity to work with the Financial Opportunity Manager to help support our Financial Opportunity Center initiative. This initiative focuses on providing quality, high touch financial education and services to our community. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for all people, regardless of their economic, educational, or cultural background. They are able to guide and support those that are in need through adversity and provide them with the necessary tools and resources to help them achieve financial well-being. With a strong focus on networking, this role will help organize and host events to build relationships with existing and potential members to help support the credit union’s viability and its visibility within the underserved community.

Experience: 2 years or more of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent. Notary designation and financial certification, or ability to attain within 6 months.

Key Skill: Ability to proficiently communicate (written and verbally) in Spanish and English and effectively communicate the organization’s mission to our membership base.
