What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN Staff Nurse position at Heritage Manor Stratmore?
Our organization is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to help care for patients in a long term care environment. This position is primarily medical; it includes administering medications, dressing wounds, monitoring vital signs and administering IV fluids. The successful candidate will have at least one to two years' experience in a medical environment and must be highly dependable, detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nursing services on patients with acute and chronic ailments using knowledge of body systems, standard medical treatments and drugs, common diagnostic procedures, and nursing practices necessary for patients care and comfort.
- Prepare equipment and instruments for examination, treatment or operation.
- Prepare and give injections or enemas.
- Angulate joints.
- Monitor patient vital signs.
- Administer prescribed medications to patients.
- Prepare operating or treatment rooms for procedures.
- Assist surgeons in preparing operating room for surgical procedure.
- Provide bedside care to patients.,Restore patients to health by helping them with their personal hygienic needs.,Change dressings on wounds.,Assist patients in moving about in bed or on the floor.,Change linen on hospital beds.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
