What are the responsibilities and job description for the Immigration Consultant position at Hermandad Mexicana Nacional?
The Immigration Consultant work under the assistance and supervision of an Accredited Immigration Representative on immigration-related issues such as completing Citizenship Applications, Permanent Residence, Family Petitions, etc. under the supervision of a legal specialist, the assistant will conduct research, prepare documents, and complete pending forms, along with clerical work. As well as being a citizenship instructor when needed.
Locations for Fontana, Pomona, Anaheim, and Pacoima
QUALIFICATIONS: The selected applicant must be bilingual in English and Spanish as well as develop the sensitivity and skills to work with low-income Spanish-speaking immigrants. Likewise, the qualified applicant must have good writing and communication skills, including the ability to interact with people from diverse levels of education and socioeconomic backgrounds. A desirable might also have experience with customer service.
PURPOSE: Hermandad Mexicana Nacional is a non-profit immigration and services organization. The Board of Immigration Appeals recognizes the organization and the personnel is accredited. We provide low-cost services for immigrants seeking citizenship, renewal of Permanent Residence, petitions, Deferred Action, and other vital immigration services. The assistant will provide much-needed aid to specialists when completing forms.
