Mortgage Loan Officer - Leads Provided

POSITION OVERVIEW:  

The Mortgage Loan Officer (Leads Provided) position is responsible for working with inbound leads to move through the pre-approval process.  This role will include convincing inbound leads to go through the process, taking applications, collecting documents, assessing client files, calculating income, running Automated Underwriting (DU/LP, etc) and issuing pre-approvals, as well as following up consistently with all leads. Quality, efficiency, superior customer service and professionalism are ALL essential to be successful as a Pre-Approval Specialist

PREREQUISITE

• Active NMLS license (or currently working as a Loan Officer for a bank or credit union).
• Proficient with Encompass.
• 3 years of mortgage industry experience preferred.

CORE RESPONSIBILITES:  

• Engage with inbound purchase leads, handle objections, move them into a consultation
• Follow up with all leads to continue to move them through the process
• Sell the benefits of working with the Hero Loan Team and your assigned branch staff. 
• Host a buyer consultation call/meeting - get as many details as possible re: employment, income, asset, etc.  
• Review 1003 for completeness.
• Review loan in detail - make needs list and notes for client.
• Structure loans in LOS.
• Run AUS.
• Prequalify – calculate income, review (and understand) income and asset documents, calculate max purchase price.
• Choose loan templates based on credit score/scenario.
• Request supporting docs and follow up.
• Organize supporting docs in Encompass Efolder.
• Update 1003 based on collected supporting docs.
• Set up a fee worksheet and/or Total Cost Analysis presentation.
• Send Prequal Letter to client, Realtor, and/or Builder.
• Follow up with clients until they are under contract

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
