Job Title: Analysts, Supply Chain Finance
Job Location: Hershey, PA
Summary:
The role will support NA Distribution & Transportation Finance Manager in the development of operational and strategic plans of $500 Million, systems/reporting enhancements, and other vehicles to drive cost optimization and achieve performance targets. The position will lead the data analytics and visualization of key metrics to track business performance and help identify the areas for cost optimization. The focus is on providing timely and actionable business analytics leveraging new analytical tools such as Alertyx and Power BI.
This role requires a solid understanding of financial concepts, strong analytical skills, an operationally-drive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple project activities.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in driving monthly, quarterly and annual budget process for the Distribution & Transportation
- Perform month-end close activities including recording accruals, preparing necessary journal entries and reconciliations of key accounts
- Explain and analyze monthly variances of actual financial results versus plan and estimates for customer freight and warehousing
- Summarize results to highlight key performance drivers and update risks and opportunities to drive financial discipline
- Leverage data analytics and visualization to provide insights on cost trends, identify areas for cost optimization, and present the narrative that is tailored to the specific audience to drive decisive decision making
- Design and maintain reporting tools to show/explain KPI trending and performance metrics
- Model various financial scenarios related to freight and warehousing
- Prepares monthly updates on the status of cost savings initiatives related to Distribution & Transportation and keeps the Continuous Improvement (CI) database up-to-date
- Interact with GBS and Sourcing on PO creation and invoice processing
- Perform ad hoc requests from Supply Chain Leaders including detailed deep-dive analytics into project financials and Division/start up expenses.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of Supply Chain Accounting concepts, Financial Reporting and Internal Controls, annual planning, monthly outlook processes, and business case development.
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to analyze and integrate multiple data sources into decision format, interpret data, identify issues/opportunities, and implement solutions. Ability to learn and utilize software such as Power BI, and Alteryx
- Strong Excel (expert level) and PowerPoint modeling skills
- Self-starter with the ability to influence decisions and provide recommendations
- Strong organization skills (ability to manage multiple high-volume projects simultaneously within tight time deadlines).

- Ability to work collaboratively and influence individuals and groups.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Business Administration in Finance, Accounting, Data Science; CPA and MBA Preferred
Experience:
1-3 years of work experience in Accounting, Supply Chain Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, and other finance roles in analytical and/or strategic capacity. Comfortable working with a wide variety of data
