Purpose of Position:
The Director, New Product Introduction is a management role within the Product Management team reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. The NPI Project Manager will work cross-functionally with other team members in a high-tech, highly energized, team-oriented environment to ensure delivery of quality product to customers through the creation and implementation of disciplined test processes and procedures that validate product readiness and fitness for purpose. The successful candidate is a demonstrated leader and facilitator; is dynamic, driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in program/ project management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Development of NPI program plans and schedules, driving, and tracking all NPI activities to closure and product release
- Provide program updates views to Executive Management to communicate progress and highlight issues.
- Validation of product and system functionality to ensure compliance with product requirements, highlighting critical issues, functionality gaps and workarounds
- Compatibility testing of product against the ecosystem of Hexagon products and their variants
- Overseeing pilot and field testing activities
- Review of technical enablement material to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to product release
- Meet key performance indicators as defined by Management Team
- International travel is required
- Other duties, as assigned
Knowledge and Experience - Required:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Mining Industry, preferably in a mining technology support or administration role.
- Strong sense of urgency and responsibility, self-managed, able to work in fast-paced and changing environments with a hands-on attitude. Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Effective change management skills with ability to drive a continuous improvement mindset with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to support applications, reports and processes, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Knowledge and Experience - Desired:
- Experience with SQL and Databases
- Experience with bug tracking and development tools (Jira, aHa, Salesforce)
- Black Belt certification
- Spanish or other languages beneficial
Travel:
- International Travel availability – expected at 20 to 40%

- This is a global role, can be based in US (Tucson or Denver), Canada (Calgary or Vancouver)
- Salary commensurate with experience and work location.
