Job Description
Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the Department Director or designee as defined by Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse {(ORS. 678.150/(phone number removed) through (phone number removed) Nurse Practice Act (2008)}.
The hospital-assigned Registered Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for MCMC including those for patient assessment and transfer.
Education
Graduated from accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred; Oregon RN license
BLS required
Licensure/Certification
Current applicable Oregon RN license required.
Critical Care/TELE: ACLS required, TNCC within one year of hire for primary ICU RN, CCRN preferred
Experience
Six months nursing experience or successful completion of nursing internship program preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Experience with using every day technology tools (e.g, email, Microsoft Office, voicemail, internet/intranet to access, organize and store job-related information.
Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.
