Responsibilities:
HGA has an exciting opportunity for a talented electrical engineer or designer passionate about architectural and engineering design to work in our Rochester office on a variety of projects throughout the country. In this position, you will make calculations, using engineering formulas and skills for electrical designs such as power distribution calculations, lighting calculations, equipment sizing, and site observations. Be a part of an award winning, interdisciplinary design firm with architects, engineers, planners, lighting designers, landscape architects, and interior designers working together to create holistic designs for healthcare, the arts, community, education, corporations, government and district/campus energy clients!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works under the guidance of the Project Engineer in the design of project solutions and construction documents with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and constructability.
- Performs Electrical engineering design calculations
- Researches code issues and works with City, State and County officials.
- Analyzes reports, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and design work.
- Interacts and communicates effectively and professionally with other team members
- Maintains, organizes and archives all project related documents
- Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned
Preferred candidates will have:
- Two year Electrical Design Applied Science degree or B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with an architectural engineering focus
- Ability to obtain PE registration in the near future if degree is from an ABET accredited program desired but not required
- Three to seven years’ experience preferred
- Proficiency with Revit software and excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite
- Familiarity with electrical analysis software (i.e., SKM, Easy Power, AGI)
- Knowledge of current sustainable technologies applicable to the electrical design
