Homesite’s IT department is expanding to support enterprise initiatives that will transform the policy and claims systems and processing. We are adding a Technical Analyst position to help support and deliver on these enterprise initiatives. We are seeking talented, solutions driven individuals with strong critical thinking and analytical skills to help us drive our IT servicing goals.
Responsibilities:
Work with the appropriate business and IT teams to develop product requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, task and workflow analysis
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements while delivering required project artifacts such as: use cases, storyboards, process workflows, written verbose requirements
Identify process gaps and work with stakeholders to mitigate and solve for; understand project impacts across lines of business
Clearly and concisely communicate verbal and written requirements and analysis output to developers, testers, and business owners
Prioritize requests to achieve best results and meet goals; coordinate with program and project management
Be an agent of change management while following SDLC process; waterfall or agile
Contribute to defining technical solutions that meet delivery objectives
Be able to work with developers and understand C# and Java code. SQL knowledge is needed to run metrics and analyze data.
Requirements:
Excellent analytical skills – ability to visualize, articulate, and solve problems to make informed decisions. Interpret stakeholder needs into application and operational requirements
Agile and Adaptable – Self-starter who can respond well to changing priorities, handle multiple priorities effectively, collaborate up and down the organization, take initiative and be adaptable
Experience in performing functional analysis on business systems for software solution development, process design and system analysis, gathering requirements via use cases
Delivery Focused – Match business requirements to deliverables and validate that solutions achieve desired business result; meet deadlines; pro-active identification and management of risk
Skills & Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Preferably in business administration, information systems, or related field)
3+ years relevant experience leading efforts around business/functional/system requirements
Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skill with experience of working under pressure with precision and accuracy
Ability to apply critical thinking and cope with rapidly changing priorities and a continual backlog of work
Insurance industry experience a plus, but not required
