Morehouse School of Medicine's Neuroscience Institute is seeking a part time program coordinator to assist with administration of a genomics center program. This position will assist the PI (Dr Meller) and provide timely project support in terms of assisting with grant activities and assisting organizing administrative portions of the program (mini projects, reporting, meetings).
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience.
Must type 50 WPM.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Experience: 2-4 years of related experience.

Description of Job Duty
It is MSM's Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate's offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

- Manages the daily operations and functions of assigned department.
- Plans and organizes departmental meetings and training sessions.
- May be responsible for maintaining department director's calendar.
- Assists in development of administrative departmental operating policies.
- May coordinate and plan special events and activities.
- Serves as department liaison for customers and responds to inquiries and general information requests.
- Prepares and composes special project reports, correspondence of a confidential and complex nature, letters, memoranda, and other documents.
