What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilitator (Lansing & Jackson Areas) position at Highfields Inc?
The Facilitator will foster relationships with students to enable a proactive approach to conflict resolution and encourage personal growth in students of the Reaching Higher Program at Attwood, East Jackson, Gardner and North Elementary.
**We need someone up to four days a week. Program runs Monday through Thursday from approximately 2:30p.m. to 5:00p.m. This position will be working with students in fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades providing homework support and assisting in enrichment activities.
Highfields Afterschool program offers a $500 new hire bonus upon completion of the 2021-2022 school year. Bonuses will be awarded at the end of the school year in May 2022.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: *
- Create activities to implement engaging youth development opportunities.
- Engage and assist students during academic enrichment activities.
- Assist youth with homework and provide support for individualized tutoring.
- Conduct yourself in a manner to serve as a mentor and role model.
- Cultivates positive relationships with students, families, and school-day personnel.
- Attends all mandatory meetings and completes all paperwork as required.
- Participates in 16 hours of professional development per year that meets licensing requirements.
- Performs duties in a manner that ensures compliance with Child Day Care Licensing rules and regulations.
- Ensures program operates in a way that follows industry quality standards and in accordance with the grant.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge or Experience:
- Specific industry, regulatory or technical knowledge or experience
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge of youth.
- At least 2 years’ experience working with youth in a structured program setting.
- Shall be a person of good character who possesses the health, emotional stability, maturity and strength to carry out assigned duties.
