What Will You Do?
The Janitor handle an establishment’s overall cleanliness and sanitation. At times, also perform minor maintenance tasks, logistics work, errands, and ad hoc tasks requested by their supervisors.
Job Overview
In the janitor role, you will ensure that the establishment’s premises are presentable to the public and clear of any trash. You will maintain and update a checklist of your cleaning responsibilities during your shift. Success in this role will be demonstrated by maintaining a clean and orderly establishment that is attractive to the public and employees.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Cleans, dusts, mops, and sweeps assigned areas
- Performs minor maintenance on equipment and fixtures
- Reports any major maintenance and cleanliness issues to management
- Collects and disposes of trash in the proper manner
- Restocks bathrooms and supply closets
- Ensures that the facility is locked after business hours
Job Requirements
- Can work with minimal supervision
- Familiar with cleaning tools and supplies
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
- Open to work shifting schedules and late nights
- Can handle materials with care
