Head of HR Highland Solutions Management (White Hall, AR) Highland Solutions Management is actively seeking an experienced and strategic HR leader to spearhead the establishment and growth of our Human Resources department. As the Head of HR, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and driving organizational success. This unique opportunity allows you to lead a team of 15 management professionals and provide comprehensive support to our 160 employees across two manufacturing plants in Arkansas. This is a full-time, in-person position, requiring daily presence at our White Hall office. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s overarching goals and objectives. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, and professional development. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Policy Development and Compliance: Ongoing review and implementation of robust HR policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Conduct regular audits to proactively manage risk and maintain impeccable compliance standards.
  • Employee Relations: Cultivate a positive and engaging work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and satisfaction. Oversee employee relations initiatives, including performance management, conflict resolution, and engagement programs. Serve as a trusted advisor to management on complex employee relations matters.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Take the lead in the recruitment process, from developing effective sourcing strategies to conducting interviews and making informed hiring decisions. Design and implement seamless onboarding programs to integrate new hires into our organizational culture.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent. Oversee benefits administration and ensure precise payroll processing.
  • Learning and Development: Identify training needs and design targeted programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth for all team members.
  • Health and Safety: Collaborate with our plant safety professionals on comprehensive occupational health and safety initiatives to create a secure and healthy work environment. Address and resolve workplace safety concerns promptly.
  • Employee Data and Analytics: Leverage HR data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and measure program effectiveness. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). A minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience within the HR function. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective HR strategies. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build strong relationships across all organizational levels and departments. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with HR technology applications (a plus).
