What will you do?
- Coach, supervise, train and mentor project managers & construction managers to enhance management and performance skills to achieve high level results.
- Oversee projects at a high level from beginning to end including budget, costs, unexpected events, general performance, and overall progress against plan.
- Aid with conflict resolution of project issues that project teams cannot resolve.
- Maintain existing client loyalty, extend relationships, and manage client expectations.
- Periodically attend owner and project meetings, maintain client contact to gauge performance perceptions and communicate relevant information to the project team.
- Maintain production department software for the team, ensuring team members have adequate training on software programs.
- Maintain an awareness of the department's productivity & profitability goals and work to meet and exceed those goals.
- Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs to determine overall job performance. Identify reasons for discrepancies and communicate back to VP and estimating group.
- Ensure all safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Perform project manager duties and oversee individual projects as needed.
What experience should you have?
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related degree
- 10 years' project management experience
- Knowledgeable of commercial building envelope and/or roofing principles required; experience working in a multi-trade environment, or a general contractor, is preferred.
- Strong coaching and leadership skills with a demonstrated history of successful teambuilding
- Experience with the following software applications preferred: Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and with minimal management
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent presentation, communication, writing, and listening skills
