Landscaping Crew Leader

Highline Scapes is hiring an experienced landscaping professional for a full time Crew Lead position.

The crew lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily landscaping operations, managing a team of landscapers, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment.

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $28-38/hour DOE

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of landscapers to achieve project goals and meet quality standards
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crew members, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Provide guidance, support, and feedback to team members, fostering a positive work environment.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Plan and organize daily work schedules, ensuring the timely completion of assigned projects.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment.

Landscaping Operations:

• Perform a wide range of landscaping tasks, including planting, mulching, irrigation installation, sodding, and hardscape construction.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools, ensuring their proper functionality and safety.
• Apply knowledge of plant species, soil conditions, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal growth and health of landscapes.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that may affect project progress or client satisfaction.
• Implement best practices for landscaping techniques, safety protocols, and sustainable landscaping practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the landscaping industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, irrigation systems, and hardscape construction.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve project goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and suppliers.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Bilingual staff preferred
