The goal of Sumner Regional Medical Center’s Critical Care Unit (CCU) is to provide the highest quality healthcare to all our patients in the most professional and compassionate manner possible. Our unit is staffed with nurses and other licensed personnel who specialize in the treatment of critically ill patients. We also have physician specialists from many fields who are available for consultations as needed.
The Director of CCU directs the Critical Care unit's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Reports to: Senior Director Medical/Surgical Nursing
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing - Required
Minimum Education
Master's degree in Nursing or related Business or Healthcare field - Preferred
Required Skills
American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required to be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire
ACLS - Required within 6 months of employment
Required Skills
Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse Licensure - Required
CCRN-K or CCRN - Preferred
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum 3 years nursing experience required, with at least 1 year of critical care experience. .Management/Leadership experience desired.
