Lead Dispatcher
Position will provide quality customer service. Lead Dispatch position will answer phones, fulfill customer requests in a timely manner, as well as assign and schedule trucks in a logistically fast-paced dispatch environment. Position also supports all general office duties which include, but are not limited to, rotating after-hours dispatch, daily administrative, clerical and sales support. Competency in calculating turn-times and knowledge/willingness to learn bidding/quoting of potential projects.

- Ensures quality control of work by developing clear, error-free documents to achieve a credible and professional presence in all written and electronic communication
- Works closely with procurement to manage costs with project and department budgets
- Prioritizes work to ensure that Manager/Owner is provided all relevant business information with accuracy and timeliness to be able to positively impact the business
- Types memos, edits and proofreads correspondence, forms and reports. Copies, routes and distributes correspondence and reports as requested. Files and retrieves documents, records and reports. Maintains records and management systems
- Assembles relevant data and compiles information as directed to meet deadlines
- Answers telephone and screen calls, schedules meetings and appointments
- Performs general office duties such as ordering supplies, processing purchase orders, updating department phone lists, filing, data entry
- Will assist with overflow work assigned from other administrative/executives and assistants
Work Experience
- Knowledge of the Vegas valley
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Individual must enjoy dispatch work, engaging with truck drivers, customers and vendors. Can take on project work and dispatch work, and has the ability to multi-task and provide support to co-workers as needed
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to professionally interact with personnel and external customers
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Able to prioritize work and work independently

General Information Full Time, Monday through Friday, with rotating after hours phone duty
- Paid vacation begins accruing after one year of employment
- Major holidays are off with pay, after 6 months of employment
- Yearly reviews, possible pay raise, dependent on individual performance
- Potential Christmas bonus, dependent on how the company does as a whole, and what each individual has contributed on their own and as a team
- After 2 months of employment we offer medical and dental insurance, of which we cover 75% of the costs; Or employee can opt out of group plan.
Pay Rate Pay rate is dependent on experience. Starting pay could be more if experience translates well into what our company does. There is a 3 month probationary period, at which time, a raise, if any, will be determined. During probation period, if employee has not filled job requirements, or is not a good fit as determined by the owners, employee will be let go.
Qualifications
Willingness to learn, Driven Work Ethic, Attention to Detail, Applicants seeking long term growth with company. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus.
Education
Minimum High School Diploma
NOTE: A Computer Literacy Test is possible at the time of interview. If required to test, please allow at least 1 hour for the entire interview and testing process, or we can schedule a time for you to return for testing.
Background check and drug testing will be conducted if selected as a possible candidate and/or hired.
