Gas Station Attendant:
Job Summary:
Will be responsible for collecting cash payments from customers and making change, or charging purchases to customers' credit cards and providing customers with receipts. Will be responsible to clean the convenience store and bathroom, and to collect and dispose inside and outside trash. Will restock and price incoming goods, and provide excellent assistance and customer service to all patrons.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sell Lottery tickets and other items to customers.
- Stock shelves, and mark prices on shelves and items.
- Receive payment by cash, credit cards, or automatic debits.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
- Answer customers' questions, and assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties, such as mop floors, clean bathroom, clean shelves, and empty trash cans.
- Identify missing prices of goods, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
- Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
- Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records.
- Verify age of customer if they are purchasing alcohol or cigarettes.
- Sell prepared food, including deli sandwiches, pizza, smoothies, coffee, and salads.
- Call police to report suspicious activity in and around gas station.
Schedule: 20 to 40 hours per week
