Essential Job Responsibilities
Greet and direct visitors at the NASIC Visitor Control Center. Instructs visitors on security requirements and ensures procedures are followed:
- Verify proper badge has been issued to visitor(s) and maintained control of visitors throughout the day.
- Communicate with visitors, HII personnel, and government supervisors, as required, to facilitate accomplishment of work.
- Respond to incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner.
- Receive and direct visitors, and monitor visitor access.
- Maintain and organize Executive's calendar to ensure that she/he is prepared for any meetings.
- Maintain front desk procedures including contact information, directions, and frequently requested information.
- Maintain and construct rosters.
- Increased facility personal safety by maintaining and constructing emergency recall rosters.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system, retrieve documents, and process requests for information and data.
- Prepare various types of written correspondence that may include reports, drafts, memos, emails, modification of existing documents.
- Maintain office supply inventories and coordinate maintenance of office equipment
- Research new or improved business and management practices for application to operating and administrative programs.
- Coordinate facilities and resources to conduct briefings or other collaboration activities
- Researches and utilizes knowledge of commonly applied concepts, principles and practices to help develop and issue written procedures and policies relative to NASIC facilities and security programs.
- Perform mission support activities at the direction of the FME Security Team, Facility Manager, Safety Specialist, Contract Program Manager, and government customers.
- Serve as an escort for uncleared individuals into classified areas.
- Communicate with visitors, HII personnel, and government supervisors, as required, to facilitate accomplishment of work.
- Support facility management activities, such as tracking/documenting work orders, lighting and ceiling tile maintenance, and minor facility maintenance tasks.
- Support logistics activities, such as supporting material shipping/receiving tasks, material handling operations, picking up items from Alion company facility, and warehousing operations.
- Support safety and health activities, such as performing routine inspections on emergency equipment and supporting facility safety activities. Support security management activities, such as performing visitor control duties, monitoring/operating entry control points, performing classified material courier duties, and opening/securing of classified facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. Current and Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
