What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant position at Hillebrand North America?
Hillebrand, created in 1844, is the market leader in global beverage logistics. Hillebrand offers a full range of freight forwarding services to the beverage community: ocean freight, air freight, intermodal, domestic trucking, and customs house brokerage, in addition to a number of special value-added services.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems to work with warehouse personnel to supply paperwork and generate reporting for all receiving/shipping activities.
- Manage drivers’ windows, signing truck drivers in and out.
- Validate and update inbound and outbound data into google sheets for both full product and keg operation.
- Maintain records/paperwork of all outgoing and incoming shipments.
- Ensure accuracy, prepare and generate BOLs, packing lists, PODs, etc. for inbound or outbound activities.
- Effectively communicate with carriers, customers, operations, and management.
- Communicate with dockworkers and manage dock doors.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, inbound/outbound phone calls, use of two-way radio, data entry, etc.
Qualifications:
- Good typing speed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Physical ability to: communicate clearly and accurately; operate a computer and other office equipment.
