What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Specialist- PHP position at Hillsides?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:
- Provide behavioral support and skill building services to Hillsides' PHP clients, including individual and group services, collateral services, crisis intervention, community activities, and/or services at other locations away from the residential facility
- Coordination of services and case management, discharge planning, and case consultation with referral sources, schools, families, allied agencies, and others
- Maintain and complete all clinical and administrative record keeping associated with delivery of services, including meeting agency billing/productivity standards
- Facilitate and document individual and group activities for each client
- Provide direct, appropriate crisis prevention and intervention services to clients within the PHP program, as appropriate (including crisis communication, risk assessment and triage, and documentation).
- Maintain regular consultation with the team through weekly participation in treatment team meetings, and group and individual supervision
- Knowledgeable of prevailing governmental laws and regulations regarding the provision of mental health services, including confidentiality and limits thereof, the reporting of child abuse and neglect, and related regulations
- Knowledgeable of and acts in accordance with Ethical and Professional standards as established by organizations outside of Hillsides
- Attend and participate in program and Residential-wide meetings, including staff in-service, clinical conferences, and trainings.
- Flexibility with schedule and able to work weekends and evenings to meet the needs of clients as needed
- Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time as needed

Equipment and Computer Software Skills and Abilities:
- Computer literate (basic working knowledge of Microsoft WORD, Excel, and Outlook) and data/electronic records program currently in use
- Able to use telephone, office copier, calculator, fax machine, computer printer and scanner, or other equipment as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 1 years' experience working with child welfare, residential treatment facilities, or with SED children and/or other experience working with children in a related capacity
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Valid California drivers license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
PQI STATEMENT

$19.03- 22.77 hourly range
