Hilton Atlanta and Towers is looking to fill two Event Manager Roles! This is an excellent opportunity for an ideal candidate that has a passion for events! Great compensation package and bonus! Responsibility executing written sales agreements for moderately sized and characteristically groups of 250 guests or less. You will maintain liaison between the client and the hotel by directing each department within the hotel as to their specific role in the pre-planning and execution of all events
Hilton Atlanta and Towers is six blocks from the heart of downtown and is a prime destination for meetings of all sizes. Due to the versatile space which includes extensive exhibition space, two ballrooms, breakout rooms, and large pre-function areas, this hotel is a planner’s dream!
REQUIRED
Candidates that have Sales/Event/Catering coordinating experience are welcome to join the team for the one entry level Event Manager role!
We are also looking for Event/Catering Managers that will fill the other Event Manager position that have 1 year minimum or more experience in detailing BEOs and Group Resumes in the Corporate/Group market.
What will I be doing?
- Responsible for successful execution of event and customer satisfaction to ensure customer remains loyal and books future business with hotel. Must have passion for the Group/Corporate market and will be handling groups of 250 on peak or less and also manage large rooms only bookings.
- Verbal and written communication (group resume, weekly pick up, post event report, call reports, banquet event orders etc.) with customer and internal team in a proactive manner relative to payment structure, room block management, food and beverage, public room rental and exhibit hall fees, incremental and affiliate revenue streams, performance damages and master billing process.
- Directs customer services via site visits, and planning meetings for definite and potential groups and effectively showcase the property and all services.
- Maximize revenues and controls expenses through effective negotiation of services and accurate forecasting.
- Respond to guest inquiries and special requests and resolve issues or concerns in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Attendance required at forecasting meetings, menu review, department, citywide pre-cons, and operational department pre shifts meetings if applicable.
Effective listener in grasping client needs and detailing all pertinent information to all departments in making each event special, and successful for all parties.
