Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
Physical requirements:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Able to stand during entire shift.

Duties & Functions
Essential:
- Approach all encounters with associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
- Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Associates must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
- Ensure compliance of all policies and Code of Conduct as specified in the Associate Handbook.
- Be familiar with organization of the Café and lounge; know the function of each job position.
- Responsible for general sanitation of the Café and kitchen’s service area before, during and after the hours of operation.
- Assist servers with service at their tables by refilling beverages.
- May be requested to bring food to tables.
- Take soiled dish trays to the dish room.
- Clear and clean tables.
- Reset tables.
- Perform closing side work duties.
- Be familiar with fire exit locations.
- Be familiar with fire extinguisher locations and know how to operate them in the restaurant/kitchen.
- Follow all safety rules.
- Assist in setting up the lounge as needed.
- Deliver room service orders to guest room as needed.
Marginal:
- Perform opening procedures and side work duties
- Responsible for keeping side stands and Kitchen service area stocked with necessary supplies (paper supplies, silver, glassware, etc.)
- Attend meetings/training as required by management).
- Perform other duties as requested from management.
